Menace—the new project spearheaded by Napalm Death‘s Mitch Harris—have released a music video for their song “Painted Rust“. The clip was debuted through Noisey and can be seen after the break. March 18th has been set as the release date for the debut release from the project, “Impact Velocity“.
The video was done by sand artist Kseniya Simonova, who also heads up a children’s cancer charity in her native Ukraine. Harris said of the clip:
“What we are doing [with “Painted Rust” specifically] is focusing our attention on one girl in particular named Marina. She is a champion in calisthenics gymnastics, and we are both trying to make a difference and generate some hope, which is the only tool we have at present. We realize it’s a difficult world that we live in, and there are many charities and causes. Kseniya’s contribution delivers the powerful impact of the sound and its atmosphere. We hope it to leave a lasting impression in hearts and souls on a global scale directed towards improving life, and helping those in need regaining the strength to pursue our most improbable dreams and goals.”
