As I Lay Dying‘s Tim Lambesis appeared in court this morning (January 15th) for a readiness hearing in regards to his attempted murder for hire case; in which he is alleged to have tried to hire an undercover detective posing as a hitman to murder his estranged wife, Meggan Lambesis.
He appeared for a readiness conference today (January 14th), though according to Lambgoat, the proceedings didn’t take place as planned with Lambesis not being called forward. At present the trial has been delayed until February 06th.
Lambesis remains out on bail on a charge of solicitation of another to commit murder. He also faces a $2 million USD civil suit that was filed on August 02nd, 2013 by Meggan Lambesis. She is seeking around for emotional distress, medical expenses, punitive damages and attorney’s fees.
Update – January 15th 1:20pm:
Lambgoat reports that prosecutor Claudia Grasso has made remarks regarding “further negotiations” in the trial, suggesting a plea bargain may be in the works. This would of course see Tim Lambesis admit guilt to the charge in exchange for a lesser punishment.
