Crowbar‘s Kirk Windstein has thanked his fans through the groups Facebook for supporting him through what he describes as his “separation from Down“. Windstein of course recently left Down to focus on Crowbar full-time. He said in his new post:

“Attention Crowbar fans…You’ll RULE!!! Thanks for your patience and understanding during my separation from Down. We have had multiple requests from cities and countries around the world for us to play in your area. When I made the decision to do Crowbar 100% I MEANT IT! Right now we are doing a warm up tour before we get ready for the studio to do our new record!! Remember 2014 is the 25th Anniversary of Crowbar!! We will play every state, every city and every country for the next year and a half. Hang tight..We will see you soon!! And thanks again for being so supportive!!!!”

Crowbar expect to be in the studio in December to begin tracking their new album. They will also be on tour throughout the fall with dates available here. Bassist Pat Bruders opted to leave Crowbar and remain in Down, with Jeff Golden being brought in to take his place. Meanwhile, Windstein was replaced in Down by Honky guitarist Bobby Landgraf.
