(hed)p.e. frontman Jared “Jahred” Gomes has revealed that he has now been sober for over a month after a three decade plus battle with substance abuse. According to a posting he made on the bands Facebook late yesterday, June 03rd:
“36 days clean and sober…my therapist says it takes one year just to get through the detox, and another 2 years to adjust to living clean…especially after i’ve been abusing drugs and alcohol FOR THE LAST 35 YEARS!”
Gomes had previously expressed his interest in changing his ways.
