The Deftones paid tribute to Kriss Kross in St. Louis, MO last night, May 01st. The tribute saw band frontman Chino Moreno adapt lyrics from the duo’s big hit “Jump” during their own performance of “Engine No. 9“.
It also apparently saw members of the band wear their pants backwards—a trend popularized by the rap duo in the early 90’s. Fan-filmed footage of that is available below. Kriss Kross‘ Chris Kelly passed away in an Atlanta, GA hospital, yesterday, May 01st, as a result of a suspected drug overdose.
