Rumors abound that Unearth have found a new label home. If the unconfirmed rumors are to be believed, eOne has signed the band. Earlier this month band frontman Trevor Phipps told Hornsuprocks.com that the group were in-between labels. Regarding that he said:

“Right now the label is up the air. There’s a few that might be it. But I’m sure we’ll have a solid home by next week or the week after.”

When asked what happened with Metal Blade, he replied:

“They could be one of the homes. It’s just our contract was up and we’re talking to other people. Metal Blade‘s a great label and they could be where we end up, but we’ll see.”

Unearth recently entered the studio to begin pre-production for their new album with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver). According to Phipps the band aim to have the album in stores around September/October.

Also featured in the above-mentioned interview is Fear Factory bassist Matt DeVries (formerly of Chimaira); who was filling in with Unearth at the time. DeVries recently launched his own merch line.
