Soundgarden frontman/guitarist Chris Cornell took part in an AMA (ask me anything) over at Reddit today, April 08th. While his replies were generally quite brief, he did mention that the bands next release will likely be an album of b-sides. When asked about such a compilation and the possibility of it coming out, he stated: “for sure, don’t know when, but its likely the next release we do.”
He also mentioned that he hopes to have a new solo album recorded before the years end and that another studio album from Soundgarden will happen eventually. Perhaps the best exchange of the AMA came about when a user asked Cornell if he was “currently still stealing bread.” A question to which Cornell dryly replied: “No, I’ve paid the full price.”
