The forthcoming new studio album from Gwar will have at least one song dedicated to their late guitarist Cory “Flattus Maximus” Smoot. The bands Oderus Urungus tweeted the below of that earlier today, February 25th:
“Today we begin the vocal tracking on the song “Fly Now”. This song is dedicated to our battle-brother Flattus. I am probably gonna weep.”
“Just remember, when you hear this song on the new album, you will know what that horrible sound is. #whenthegodsweregay”
As stated above, recording sessions for the outing are still underway. The album is due out later this year.
