According to Dailymail.co.uk, Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins was refused bail yesterday, January 10th. He will remain in custody with a plea hearing scheduled for later this month on an undisclosed date. Watkins appeared in court via video link from Parc Prison in Bridgend, South Wales, where he is currently being held.
Watkins has been in custody for a number of weeks now on a series of child sex related charges. Both Watkins and an unnamed 24 year old female have been charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activities with two young children; plus charges related to making, downloading and distributing child pornography and accessing bestiality pornography. Watkins‘ lawyer Tom Crowther previously stated that his client plans to deny the charges.
Meanwhile, an additional unidentified 20 year old female was also picked up on the same charges, sans the conspiracy to engage in sexual activities with young children.
