Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor recently told The New Yorker that his mystery project with the Beats By Dre product line is in fact a new streaming music service. The project is tentatively being dubbed Daisy with Reznor aiming to have the service feel more personable; allowing users to be exposed to other new forms of music based on what they listen to in a more intuitive fashion.
On that front he likened the service as: “having your own guy when you go into the record store, who knows what you like but can also point you down some paths you wouldn’t necessarily have encountered.”
Furthermore, he also mentioned that Interscope Records are preparing a best of release from Nine Inch Nails—complete with two new tracks—for 2014. A new studio album from the outfit will likely follow after that.
