The recent assaults at the “CBGB Festival” in New York City, NY have taken an interesting turn. Initial press reports originally indicated former Cro-Mags bassist Harley Flanagan as the aggressor; attacking Cro-Mags members Michael Couls and William Berario in the V.I.P. area with a knife. Flanagan was later arrested for 2nd degree assault and weapons charges as a result of the attacks.
However, NYNatives.com are reporting that they have gotten exclusive word from Flanagan himself, who is claiming that he was not the aggressor and the incident in fact took place in self-defense. They mention that an in-depth interview with Flanagan regarding the fracas will be posted in the coming days.
