After a night sharing the stage together went awry, Dirty Crumbums and Fear To Infirmity appear to have declared war on Trapt. Chris Taylor Brown, frontman for the latter platinum-certified alternative rockers, has had a long history of confrontations with other artists and his detractors online, be it over political clashes, or personality conflicts.
This latest incident took place during last night’s (November 06th) set at the Guadalajara Night Club in Fort Pierce, FL amid Trapt‘s tour celebrating their self-titled debut album.
According to Dirty Crumbums, Trapt‘s tour manager cut Dirty Crumbums‘ opening set short due to Trapt allegedly wanting to get to bed early. Incensed by this, Dirty Crumbums continued to perform in defiance, with Trapt‘s staff allegedly cutting Dirty Crumbums‘ mics and instruments some 17 minutes into their set. Footage of that can be found below.
In a separate video post made by Dirty Crumbums, the band stated [transcribed by theprp.com]:
“We just played a show with ‘legendary’ rock band Trapt with their hit song ‘Headstrong‘. And these c*cksuckers cut our set at at 17 minutes. We walked in today with a 30 minute set, we were told they wanted to get to bed by 10:30, so they cut it down to 20, and then they cut all our mics off at 17 minutes. We still finished strong… And they [Trapt] blew Mr. Ty’s amp over here. They cut his set short for Fear Of Infirmity too. Fuck these guys, we still one. DC motherf*ckin’ B.”
That clip also features footage of Trapt taking to the stage afterwards, with members of Dirty Crumbums and some of their fans in the audience chanting ‘DCB’, leading Chris Taylor Brown to have them ejected from the venue. Footage of Dirty Crumbums outside the venue afterwards saw them remark that Trapt had just lost half the audience with that ejection. This latest beef didn’t stop there however, as fans of Dirty Crumbums went on to flood Trapt‘s subsequent social media post from the show with Dirty Crumbums‘ above-mentioned abbreviated moniker.
