This past weekend found British alternative metal stars Sleep Token publicly distancing themselves from an upcoming project promoting itself as being conceived by a ‘co-creator of Sleep Token‘. A post newly shared on Sleep Token‘s Instagram story set out to clear up any misconceptions, it read:
“A word, for the sake of clarity. Sleep Token has no affiliation with any outside musical project that invokes this name, nor with anyone who uses it to promote one. Such claims are not made with our blessing and are not endorsed by Sleep Token. What is ours is here, and here alone.”
The new project in question, Arcus, has been rumored to be tied to a manager the band were associated with early on in their career. Arcus were quick to vaguely invoke that past association on their initial tease over the past month or so, but would later go on to remove their previous mentions of Sleep Token on their social media.
