A 30th anniversary edition of Marilyn Manson‘s platinum-certified sophomore album “Antichrist Superstar” has newly been announced. A tentative January 15th, 2027 release date is expected for this reissue, which has newly been remastered and sports deluxe gatefold packaging, complete with a bonus 24-page book featuring previously unreleased photography, handwritten lyrics and and sketches from Manson during that album’s era.
Waxwork Records will be issuing that record on vinyl and cassette formats, with a 2xLP midnight blue with iridescent gold and green haze pressing available to pre-order through waxworkrecords.com. An alternate crystal clear with black smoke pressing, plus a limited edition vintage shirt recreation from the album’s era, are available through Revolver.
The ever-divisive shock rocker commented of this milestone:
“It’s been 30 years since I carved open the American dream and pulled out Antichrist Superstar in all its vitriolic glory. For us true believers that scar never healed and it became folklore for a culture that forgot what real danger sounded like. I am here to remind everyone.”
Manson will be out on the road celebrating that album on the road as part of a 30th anniversary tour for it. That run will begin tonight, October 14th at The Fillmore in the city the album was recorded in, New Orleans, LA.
