Godsmack vocalist/guitarist Sully Erna will be hosting a special benefit event on December 10th at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL for his The Scars Foundation. Proceeds generated from that concert are expected to benefit those struggling with mental health and addiction. They’ll also be earmarked to promote suicide prevention.

Erna has called in a number of his friends for the show, including Disturbed vocalist David Draiman, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, and Aerosmith guitarist/vocalist Brad Whitford. Members of Staind, Three Days Grace and more are also expected to take part in the event. Erna commented:

“The Scars Foundation was built around a simple truth: None of us should have to carry our pain alone. After losing many friends and fellow artists to addiction and suicide, I knew I had to use my platform to help. Music gives people a place to feel understood, even in their darkest moments. On Dec. 10, we will stand together, share our stories and remind people that their lives and voices matter. Music heals, and when we use it to lift one another, it can help save lives.”

Tickets for the event went up today, October 13th.
