Australian metalcore group Windwaker have announced that their keyboardist/production manager Connor Robins has stepped away from the band for the rest of the year. That apparent temporary exit has left the group unable to perform on this year’s ‘Hellbound Cruise‘ cruise, with the following statement being issued yesterday, October 12th:
“important update regarding our upcoming touring schedule:
We’re sorry to announce that we will no longer be performing at Hellbound Cruise this year.
After two years of consistent and demanding touring, our Synths & Samples player and Production Manager, Connor Robins, has made the difficult decision to step away from performing for the remainder of the year to prioritise his health.
Connor plays a significant role not only on stage, but behind the scenes as part of our live production team.
This means we need to make some changes to our touring and production setup to ensure we can continue delivering the shows we have planned for the rest of the year. We’re genuinely sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us at Hellbound.
We know a lot of you have already made plans around the cruise, and we don’t take the disappointment of a change to the lineup lightly.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support
while we work through this. Our remaining touring schedule is continuing as planned.”
In a brief post of his own, Robins offered, “I’ll have more to say soon, and I’m not going anywhere — I just need a second to catch my breath”
