Tom Morello‘s set at today’s (October 03rd) ‘Power To The People‘ festival in Columbia, MD saw him welcome numerous guests to the stage. Among them were System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian, who in addition to reprising his role on his recent collaborative track with Tankian, “Adjourn It“, also joined in for a cover of Morello‘s past band Audioslave. Tankian once again fronted “Like A Stone“, a song the pair have covered live together in the past.
Morello‘s set also saw a mini-Prophets Of Rage reunion, with Chuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill back onstage with him. DMC of RUN-D.M.C. was another featured guest, taking part in a cover of RUN-D.M.C.‘s “It’s Tricky“. A Public Enemy cover with members of the pioneering rap outfit, and a rendition of KISS‘ “Rock And Roll All Nite” with Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl, were also among the setlist. Anthrax‘s Scott Ian, Cypress Hill‘s Sen Dog, Tenacious D‘s Jack Black, Public Enemy‘s Flava Flav, and grandson also hit the stage as well.
