Serj Tankian To Release "Elect The Dead Symphony" In March

Serj Tankian‘s collaborative live performance with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra is now scheduled to arrive in stores through Serjical Strike/Reprise Records on March 09th, 2010. Dubbed “Elect The Dead Symphony“, the outing focuses on a show Tankian played with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra backing him that took place at the Auckland Town Hall on March 16th, 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The set focuses on orchestral interpretations of music taken from Tankian‘s debut solo album, “Elect The Dead“. It will primarily be released as a deluxe CD/DVD 6-panel digipak with an eight page color booklet.

In addition to featuring the HD footage of the show itself shot by six cameras, the DVD will also sport rare and intimate backstage footage; as well as one on one interviews with Tankian and various members of the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Vinyl and standard CD editions are also being prepared for release on March 09th as well. Each different version will have unique images included exclusive to their format. The track listing for the effort, which was mixed by Junkie XL, runs as follows:
