Sleeping With Sirens have revisited their 2009 track “I’m Coming Home (Big Gulps)” in the wake of the song catching some viral traction. Despite newly making waves on TikTok and such, that single represented the first output from the now multi-platinum post-hardcore band. Their vocalist Kellin Quinn said of the decision to reprise that track now:
“Big Gulps was the very first Sleeping With Sirens song ever written, so it’s pretty amazing to see our fans digging through our old content on YouTube and watching it take off on TikTok/ That said, the original recording was literally recorded on a MacBook back in 2009. So, I wanted to get back into the studio and properly rerecord a new acoustic version of the song. Thank you for being such incredible fans for so long and we hope you enjoy this new version of Big Gulps.”
Sleeping With Sirens also recently had another throwback to an earlier era this week. Back in 2013, Bring Me The Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes took a shot at Sleeping With Sirens and Quinn over them offering $80 VIP packages for fans.
At the time Sykes took aim at Quinn on social media, stating, “Next USA tour! Oli Sykes special polaroid package! Take a photo with me! Special price! Absolutely no charge at all! Fucking cockstars.” Quinn went on to defend that package however, telling Sykes that fans that didn’t want it didn’t have to buy it.
Earlier this week, Bring Me The Horizon posted the below self-deprecating video for VIP tour packages of their own, and included an apology to Quinn within the clip.
