Drummer Colin Brittain, one of the latest recruits to Linkin Park, has taken on Drumeo‘s ‘For The First Time’ challenge. As it turns out, Brittain‘s extensive background as a songwriter/producer and more for the likes of Papa Roach, A Day To Remember, 311 and more didn’t put the entire works of British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden entirely on his radar. As such, Brittain was tasked with taking on Maiden‘s 1982 track “Hallowed Be Thy Name“.
Brittain was unfamiliar with “The Number Of The Beast” track prior to hearing it and was presented with a version that had the percussion removed ahead of time. Below you can watch him work through the track and eventually hear his final take on it.
