The ‘Extreme Thing‘ festival will be back from a decade-long absence next year. That event will be held March 20th, 2027 at the Events Center at Desert Breeze in Las Vegas, NV. Known for pairing extreme sports with punk, hardcore and metal, the festival’s organizer Brian Saliba said in a statement:

“‘Extreme Thing‘ has always been more than a festival, it’s a piece of Las Vegas history. Bringing it back for the 25th anniversary means reuniting the generations who grew up with Extreme Thing, while introducing an entirely new generation to the music, energy, and culture that made it a Las Vegas icon.”

Past editions of the festival have seen the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon and more perform. While this year’s lineup has yet to be disclosed, Blackpath Booking is said to be overseeing those duties, with deep roots in the hardcore and metal scene.

Interestingly, three separate members of the largely Las Vegas, NV-based metalcore outfit The Ghost Inside have shown up in the comments on the below post announcing the festival’s return, suggesting there may be something afoot there.
