Fake Names‘ third studio outing, “Punk Ruins“, will be arriving on October 23rd through Epitaph. That supergroup feature current and former members of Bad Religion, Refused, Rocket From The Crypt, Girls Against Boys and The Faith. The song “Until It’s Normal” has newly debuted from that record, and per a press release, it ‘airs frustration with those who believe in today’s Fascist propaganda.’

Recording sessions for the record took place at the homebase of the late Steve Albini, Electrical Audio in Chicago, IL. Matthew Barnhardy (Superchunk, Bob Mould) produced those sessions, with the band’s guitarist Brian Baker offering: “We recorded twelve songs in five days, and all of them are on the album. One of the advantages of us all working at home is there’s plenty of time to figure out what you’re going to do.”

Indeed, it would seem the group collectively wasted no time in the studio it would seem, as vocalist Dennis Lyxzén (INVSN, ex-Refused, etc.) laid down all his vocal parts in one day.
