Saltwound‘s new standalone single “Pound Of Flesh” hit the net today, August 13th. The Sacramento, CA-based deathcore outfit brought in Mugshot vocalist Ringo Waterman for a guest spot on this track, which arrives through SharpTone Records. The below music video for it was lensed by Visual-Hype Productions.
Saltwound vocalist Spencer Timmons has got you covered on the message the band set out to convey with this track, offering:
“Everybody just wants to take a chunk out of you for themselves. Those who profess to love you want a piece to legitimize themselves by proximity, while those who hate you just want whatever they can carve out of you for the sake of spite. Some days I honestly prefer the people that hate me more; at least there’s an innate honesty there.”
Saltwound will be touring the PNW and their home state this month alongside Cultist, those dates include:
08/21 Phoenix, AZ – The Underground
08/22 San Luis Obispo, CA – Humdinger Brewing
