Earlier this year, Baltimore, MD hardcore band End It made headlines when they called out a banana-dressed audience member in the crowd during their June 05th set in Toronto, ON. The band offered up a setlist to whichever audience member tore apart the outfit of that concertgoer . Fan-filmed footage of the incident went viral, with heated opinions being voiced both against and in favor of the band’s actions.

The concertgoer targeted in the matter however, claimed to have had no agenda with the outfit, and had instead routinely attended shows in a banana costume. While fellow audience members swarmed him and tore apart his costume, tt the time, he went on to claim that the band had not offered him any form of apology.

After a tense few weeks, End It‘s vocalist Akil Godsey largely brushed off the controversy, even as the blowback from the incident began to have real consequences for the band. However, days after breaking his silence, Godsey sought to end the feud onstage, albeit with a different banana-dressed fan during a June 27th set in Ysselsteyn, NET.

Still, given the controversy associated with that event and the discourse that followed, the audience in attendance at Party Cannon‘s set at the ‘Bloodstock Open Air‘ festival yesterday, August 07th, was truly a sight to behold. That irreverent brutal death metal outfit of course welcome and encourage such exuberant crowd participation at their shows, with this latest performance subsequently featuring a circle pit filled with bananas and other inflatable toys.
