Denzel Curry Says He Is "Flirting With The Idea Of Creating A Hardcore Tape"; Free Brooklyn Show With Knocked Loose Announced

Rapper Denzel Curry has pondering making the jump to hardcore music as of late. Last week, Curry shared his musings on the matter via his social media, stating this past Friday, July 24th:

“Slowly Flirting With The Idea of Creating A Hardcore Tape

And if that blows up I’ll Probably Flirt with idea of not rapping as much

Who knows”

Curry has had an active year in the hardcore metalcore scenes, including a pair of live performances with Pain Of Truth last week. Earlier this year, Curry teamed with Knocked Loose for a new track titled “Hive Mind“. He’ll be following that up with this fall North American co-headlining tour with Knocked Loose. Curry‘s 2026 dalliances with hardcore don’t end there however, as Knocked Loose and Curry have also just announced a free last-minute show in at 314 Scholes St. in Brooklyn, NY for tomorrow, July 28th. That show will feature the live debut of “Hive Mind” and will see Combust opening.

Curry‘s metal and hardcore-tinged leanings have been burgeoning over the years, having toured with Trash Talk back in 2017. He also went on to perform a cover of Rage Against The Machine‘s “Bulls On Parade“ in 2019, which he followed up months later with this take on Bad Brains‘ “I Against I“ alongside members of that legendary hardcore punk outfit. Earlier this year, Curry also hit the road with Deftones across Europe and the UK.
