It’s once again the end of the road for influential Industrial metal band Ministry, as frontman Al Jourgensen appears set to stick to his vow of ending the band following one final studio album. That record, “Hate To Go – Take Out Or Delivery“, will close the circle in a sense, with bassist, etc. Paul Barker having been brought back into the fold for this final bow.
Barker was last present in the group through the height of their fame, with his initial tenure running from 1986 to 2003. Jourgensen began to make promises about the finality of this next chapter back in 2024, right around the time Barker was welcomed back. Interestingly, while early studio reports implied Barker would be involved throughout, a press release notes that Barker seemingly only appears on the final track, “We’re Still Here”.
Of course, given that Jourgensen previously brought the band to an end in 2008, only to resurrect it in 2011, this latest planned retirement still has its share of skeptics. As it stands now, this final bow will be out on October 30th via Cleopatra Records and is set to feature the below track listing:

“I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from ‘With Sympathy‘ to where we’re at today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”
