In a new video on their social media, Ignea have shown off the devastation that has befallen the band’s headquarters in Kyiv, Ukraine. According to the band’s vocalist Helle Bohdanova, the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio, which was hit overnight in a strike said to be launched by Russian forces according to local media, has suffered considerable damage.
In addition to the destruction of costume department, which featured outfits the band wore for an impending new music video, windows in the group’s corner of the building appear to have been shattered. Additionally, various items in their space were being toppled over, with various debris from the building itself scattered around.
Despite the obvious setbacks, Bohdanova remained thankful that the building itself largely remains intact. The Russian Defence Ministry have been quoted by local media as stating that the building was targetted for facilitating the production of drones.
Ignea‘s new album “Monumental” was recently announced for an October 23rd release date via Napalm Records.
