Djent purveyors Periphery will be undertaking their European/UK touring this month without guitarist, programmer, etc. Jake Bowen. A video statement shared this morning (June 08th) by the latter revealed that situation came about due to a family member “dealing with a various serious illness.” With the blessing of his bandmates, Bowen has instead taken to recording performances of his parts for the group’s planned setlist for these shows, which will then be used as backing tracks for his parts for the duration of the run. Those dates include:

06/12 Leicestershire, UK – Download Festival
06/13 Dublin, IRE – 3Olympia Theatre (feat. Profiler & OBEYER)
06/15 London, UK – The Dome (feat. OBEYER)
06/19 Clisson, FRA – Hellfest
06/21 Dessel, BEL – Graspop Metal Meeting
06/23 Cologne, GER – Live Music Hall (feat. Rain City Drive)
06/24 Hamburg, GER – Markthalle (feat. Rain City Drive)
06/26 Ysselsteyn, NET – Jera On Air

After just over a months break, Periphery will also return to Europe for the following sets later this summer:

07/31 Transylvania, ROM – Rockstadt Extreme Fest
08/01 Sofia, BUL – Vidas Art Arena (feat. Within Destruction)
08/03 Budapest, HUN – Durer Kert (feat. Within Destruction)
08/05 Jaromer, CZE – Brutal Assault

Periphery‘s eighth studio album “A Pale White Dot” received a release several weeks ago on May 15th.
