Machine Head‘s current U.S. run with Killswitch Engage has found them joined by guitarist Ben Eller. While primarily a guitar influencer , Eller previously served as a last-minute live fill-in with Mastodon in March of 2025. Machine Head vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn announced the news yesterday, June 03rd, via social media. By the sounds of it, Eller is once again being put to the test, as Flynn noted that Eller wasn’t given too much time in advance to get all the songs down pat.
Eller is inhabiting the role of guitarist Reece Scruggs on this trek. While his absence doesn’t appear to have been publicly addressed, Machine Head themselves confirmed in the comments of the below Instagram post that Eller is merely filling in for Reece.
