A newly shared post by The Dillinger Escape Plan indicated that they are reaching the “ending stretch” of their “Calculating Infinity” 25th anniversary shows. While the celebrated mathcore band hung it up back in 2017 following the conclusion of a farewell tour, they would go on to reunite in 2023. That unexpected return found them enlisting their original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis to join them for numerous shows celebrating their 1999 debut album “Calculating Infinity” in the years since.
Per today’s (June 01st) post, the band are winding down that run, noting the existence of a number of “final Calculating Infinity shows.” That post reads as follows:
“This has been an incredible chapter, but we have reached the ending strech.
The final Calculating Infinity shows in Europe and a single show in London is in a couple of weeks. A few more shows for US will be announced soon, and we are coming to some special places.
Thank you from TDEP
Ben, Liam, Dimitri, Billy, James“
Speculation of the group reuniting with their former frontman Greg Puciato has been bubbling since Puciato exited Better Lovers this past February. Despite previous personality conflicts between himself and The Dillinger Escape Plan linchpin Ben Weinman, an interview published this past March found Puciato open to the idea of rejoining the band, under the right circumstances.
The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s current live slate runs as follows:
06/18 Dessel, BEL – Graspop Metal Meeting
06/19 Clisson, FRA – Hellfest
06/20 Paris, FRA – L’Elysee Montmartre
