Bassist Thomas O’Malley has announced he has stepped down from British deathcore band Ingested. In a statement issued via his social media today, May 30th, O’Malley had the following to say about his exit:
“I’ve decided to step away from Ingested. I’m grateful for my time in the band and for the experiences over the years. I’ve had a great time playing shows, touring, and being part of the journey, and I wish the guys the absolute best for the future and continued success with the new record and beyond.
I’m now focusing on new musical opportunities and I’m available for touring, recording, and session work as a bassist and guitarist. If anyone needs a player, feel free to get in touch.”
O’Malley began touring with the band back in 2022, before landing a full-time role in 2025. 2026 has proven to be a rocky year for Ingested, who fired their frontman Josh Davies this past February in the wake of disturbing allegations, which Davies publicly disputed.
The group would go on to re-record Davies‘ vocal parts on their then as-yet unreleased latest album “Denigration“. The band’s guitarists/vocalists Sean Hynes and Andrew Virrueta got behind the mic for to revise that record ahead of its May 08th arrival
