Fear Factory are mourning the loss of a fan who passed away in a triple-fatal car crash on his way home from the band’s May 22nd show in Sydney, Australia. According to News.com.au, that fan, Seamus Duignan, took in that show as part of his 28th birthday celebrations. He and the Uber driver he had hired to get him home were killed in a high-speed crash after another vehicle crossed into the wrong lane and struck the vehicle, causing three fatalities.
Upon learning of the tragic turn of events, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares posted the below video, sharing his sympahties with the families of those killed in the accident.
“We were deeply saddened to hear about the tragic accident involving one of the fans who attended our Sydney show. Our thoughts and condolences go out to their family, friends, and everyone affected by this loss.
“We’re grateful to everyone who comes out to support Fear Factory around the world, and we simply want to remind everyone to travel safely and look out for one another on the road home.
Much respect and sympathy from all of us in Fear Factory.”
