With their profile increasing amid viral interest across social media, sludge metal lifers Crowbar have revealed their plans to record a new live album. Frontman/guitarist Kirk Windstein took to social media today, May 21st, to announce that the band will be playing a free show at the Southport Music Hall in their hometown of New Orleans, LA on July 17th, which they will be filming for a future release.
Nearly four decades into their career, the world has recently caught up to Crowbar, with viral interest in the band’s music, particularly among the bodybuilding community, and a few memes along the way propelling the group past 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone this past February.
