Straight edge deathcore band No Cure‘s first album “It Is Going To Get Dark” has had a July 10th release date set through SharpTone. While commonly referred to as albums across leading streaming services, their previous releases are still considered EPs officially.
The song “Convulsing In The Dark” leads the charge from that record, which boasts guest appearances from members of The Acacia Strain, Varials, Bayway, CELL and Inclination across its 12-song track listing. Vocalist Blaythe Steuer said of the Kevin Langley produced record:
“There is a deep malaise overhead as we are subjected to the way the world is turning. It is clear that things are getting worse, and there is no end in sight. This fixation combined with the gruelling touring lifestyle we’ve lived the past few years has resulted in the perfect first No Cure LP. We recorded this deep in the woods of Alabama between tours, and loss surrounded the band as it was being written.
Despite the great shows and tours we’ve been doing, this has been a painful time for the band. Each song has purpose and it is critically important that we deliver a record that is worth listening to from start to finish. If you don’t see that it is going to get dark yet… you will soon.”
A music video for “Convulsing In The Dark” was shot with director Nick Chance (Chamber, Crown Magnetar) and is streaming below. Speaking of it, Steuer added:
