Thrown Into Exile‘s new era has begun with the below debut of a Vicente Cordero (Hollywood Undead, Cradle Of Filth) directed music video for “Behind The Veil“. The group have brought that song online today, May 21st, after an initial debut yesterday on SiriusXM‘s Liquid Metal. This new track showcases the abilities of the group’s latest vocalist Joshua Santos, who has replaced Evan Seidlitz in the group. It also finds the band moving in a blackened melodeath direction.
Thrown Into Exile announced the departure of Seidlitz earlier this week, stating:
After 3 years, Evan Seidlitz will be stepping away as vocalist of Thrown Into Exile.
Evan has been an integral part of this band’s history since it’s inception, and getting the opportunity to write music and share the stage together again over the past few years has been an amazing experience.
Beyond the band, he is family, and there is nothing but love and respect between us. As life and priorities evolve, so do the paths people take. The reality is that “life happened” and the responsibilities that come with being in a band that tours creates a strain in everyday life that has pulled us in two separate directions.
We’re proud of everything we created together and grateful for every show, every song, and the brotherly bond we share. Change is never easy, but this band has always been built on pushing forward through every challenge, and we are excited for what’s ahead.
Thank you, Evan, for everything.
And thank you to everyone who continues to support this band.
As for the instatement of Santos, the band stated:
“The addition of Joshua Santos brings a whole new dynamic to Thrown Into Exile that showcases a more extreme side to us that has not really been done in the band’s history. This is only a taste of what’s to come from our new album and we can’t wait to play this live in a city near you this year.”
