Industrial metal outfit Fear Factory dug deep into their catalog for the kickoff of their Australian tour last night, May 19th. The gold-certified band are out celebrating their 35th anniversary on the ‘Cybernetic Domination: 35 Years Of Fear Tour‘, with this run down under marking their first headlining trek out that way in over a decade.
While the expected fan favorites in “Linchpin“, Replica“, “Edgecrusher” and more made their way into the set at the Metropolis in Fremantle last night, so too did the first performance of the “Digimortal” cut “Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies)” since 2001. Also finding their way back to the set after a prolonged absence was a pair of “Mechanize” songs: “Industrial Discipline” and “Final Exit“. Fear Factory‘s eleventh studio album is tentatively expected out later this year, and will be the band’s first since bringing vocalist Milo Silvestro onboard back in 2023.
