Foo Fighters have premiered a music video for their song “Of All People“. Alex Acy directed this latest clip to make it out from the multi-platinum band’s twelfth studio album “Your Favorite Toy“. The video features the talents of BPC (Buldoz Project Crew), a collective dedicated to pursuing snowless skiing. Foo Fighters linchpin Dave Grohl said of deciding to include them in the clip:

“Just when I thought I’d seen it all, I discovered BPC and snowless skiing. It’s either the gnarliest extreme sport I’ve ever seen, the most fun anyone can have before a guaranteed trip to the hospital, or both. It’s an honor to be the soundtrack to this madness.”

Director Alex Acy said of BPC:

“I found one of their videos on YouTube a year ago and I knew I had to meet them. We chatted a lot before figuring out how we could create something together. I was totally floored by their personalities and their way of seeing life. It takes a certain charisma to take on such stupid and dangerous stunts with style.”

While the video showcases a more adventurous side, the lyrical inspiration for the song is rather dark, having been inspired by a chance encounter Grohl had with an ex-heroin dealer decades later. Grohl told The Guardian of why he wrote that song earlier this year:

“…After bumping into a drug dealer from the 90s that was getting everyone fucked up on heroin. I hadn’t seen them in 30 years, and they’re alive, healthy and sober. I was so happy that this person survived, while at the same time, I was devastated, because of all of the people I know that we’ve lost to exactly that drug.

I was so fucking angry, but at the same time so grateful to see them alive and well. Again, a conversation within myself, feeling so conflicted and divided. When I read the lyrics back, I mentioned them to my therapist: is this survivor’s guilt?”
