Dethklok‘s set last night, May 16th, at the Landmark Credit Union Live in Milwaukee, WI was stopped short amid issues with the smoke and fog effects employed during the concert. The accumulation of the errant stage production went on to trip the venue’s fire alarm, which is an interesting change from the usual culprit: too much pyro.

Dethklok co-creator Brendon Small went on to say of the matter later via his Instagram story:

“Thanks for your cooperation at tonight’s show. Since the show ended early, we’re working with the venue to make this right for you. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information soon.”

According to concertgoers, the alarms were tripped some 8 songs into the set, with the show being stopped somewhat ironically midway through the band’s performance of “Black Fire Upon Us“. Fan-filmed footage of the set one song prior to the cancelation, as well as the aftermath of the alarms, can be seen below.

Last night’s concert was one of the closing dates of ‘The Amonlok Conquest‘ tour, which finds the aforementioned real-life incarnation of the band from the ‘Metalocalypse‘ animated series out with Amon Amarth and Castle Rat. Remaining dates for that run include:

05/17 Columbus, OH – Sonic Temple
05/19 Denver, CO – JUNKYARD
05/20 Salt Lake City, UT – TheUnion Event Center
05/21 Las Vegas, NV – PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
