Blue Medusa, the fledgling metal outfit launched recently by ex-Arch Enemy/The Agonist vocalist Alissa White-Gluz remains a going concern, despite recent developments. Some had wondered if Alissa‘s decision to join DragonForce would see Blue Medusa relegated to the backburner. While Alissa herself has pushed back against those concerns, this week she’ll let the music do the talking.
This Friday, May 15th, will see the debut of the band’s second single to date, “Flying Monkey“. A teaser for that can be seen below. Alissa co-directed the video for it alongside Vicente Cordero (Cradle Of Filth, Ministry). Alissa is joined by guitarists Alyssa Day (Mindscar/In Absentia) and Dani Sophia (ex-Lindemann) as the core members of that band.
Her new DragonForce bandmate Alicia Vigil appears on bass in the live incarnation of the group, while drummer Delaney Jaster (These Fading Visions) handles the drumming on the touring front.
