A lyric video for SLIFT‘s newest single “The Day Of Execution” went up for streaming today, May 05th. The French psych/noise rock outfit are barreling towards the June 05th release of their new album “Fantasia” via Sub Pop. Ben Amos Cooper directed the below visuals for this track, while the band collectively had the following to say about the song:
“‘The Day Of Execution‘ is about the effect of time passing on each and every one of us, and about memory loss. It portrays the nostalgia that creeps into us as time goes by. ‘Fantasia‘ is such an ancient city that it no longer remembers itself, and this gradually alienates its inhabitants.”
