Platinum-certified alternative rockers Alien Ant Farm had a close friend of Michael Jackson join them onstage yesterday, April 19th. During their set at The Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood, CA, the aforementioned group brought out actor/musician Corey Feldman — a man who viewed the aforementioned ‘King Of Pop’ as a mentor during his childhood years.

Feldman of course joined Alien Ant Farm for a rendition of the 1988 Michael Jackson hit “Smooth Criminal“. Alien Ant Farm themselves found success with their take on that 2x platinum single in 2001, releasing their cover of it as the second track from their major label debut, “ANThology“.

As Alien Ant Farm vocalist Dryden Mitchell showed the crowd ahead of the song, he also had Feldman sign a Gremlins shirt he was wearing, as Feldman co-starred in that 1984 dark comedy classic. As you no doubt clocked above, Feldman dressed the part onstage, recreating Jackson‘s look from the “Smooth Criminal” video, and showcasing his various dance moves inspired by the divisive late pop star.

Outside of Alien Ant Farm, the show itself was headlined by hard rockers L.A. Guns, and also featured doom metal outfit Pentagram, long-running heavy metal band Armored Saint and alternative metal band Boy Hits Car.
