Elliot Coleman, frontman of progressive post-hardcore outfit Good Tiger, recently found himself the subject of viral fame and a piece penned by long-running publication, People. While his aforementioned band returned with a new album titled “The Most Negative Day Of The Year” on February 20th via Periphery‘s 3DOT Recordings label, the mention of his musical endeavors was a mere afterthought in this piece.
Rather, the story focused around his dramatic personal makeover, which included a drastic haircut and beard shave. He underwent that transformation ahead of a running race, posting the the before and after on his TikTok this past February. That clip has since gone on to rack up over 2 million views as of press time.
Coleman told People of the video and the viral fame it brought:
“I thought it looked pretty funny, and figured it would get views. If it had just been the hair, I don’t think anybody really would have cared as much. I went from looking like an ‘80s metal rocker to an accountant.”
