The Pretty Reckless vocalist/guitarist Taylor Momsen is seemingly making a habit out of obtaining unwanted bites while sharing stages with Australian hard rock legends AC/DC. In a social media post made today, April 08th, Momsen revealed she suffered a bite from a venomous spider during her time on tour with AC/DC this week in Mexico City.
In the below video, she joked, “when are my super powers were going to kick in?” — a nod to the origin story of the Marvel super hero ‘Spider-Man‘. Momsen said of social media of her latest unwanted wound:
“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl? WTF”
Outside of the wound being treated in the video, she can also be seen receiving an injection from attending medical staff. Momsen unfortunately has some experience in this field already. While on tour with AC/DC in Seville, Spain back in the spring of 2024 she was bitten by a bat onstage mid-set. Like this latest injury, she also required medical attention afterwards, though in that instance it meant several shots to prevent a potential case of rabies.
If anything, the press from this latest bizarre bite can’t hurt the promotion of The Pretty Reckless‘ forthcoming new album “Dear God“. The hard rock group have a June 26th release date scheduled for that via Fearless Records.
