The Claypool Lennon Delirium continue to pave the way to their forthcoming new concept album “The Great Parrot-Ox And The Golden Egg Of Empathy“. That psych rock outfit, who are headed up by Primus vocalist/bassist Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon, have newly unveiled their latest single from that record, “Meat Machines“. “The Great Parrot-Ox And The Golden Egg Of Empathy” will meet a May 01st release. Lennon said of this new cut:
“Some people think humans are just biological machines. They think free will is a hallucination and we’re destined to be replaced by robots. Not only are they happy about this, but they’re actively trying to make it happen as fast as possible. Some of us think we still have a choice. We think there’s something special about living, breathing and feeling. We believe we can shape our own destiny, because we know we are more than just ‘Meat Machines.’”
You can find the outfit supporting the record on the road starting this spring as part of the ambitious ‘Claypool Gold Tour‘, which will find Claypool performing with a number of his bands each night.
