Asking Alexandria‘s guitarist Cameron Liddell and bassist Sam Bettley appear to be teasing a heavier new project together. While Asking Alexandria found their initial fame in the metalcore scene, the band have since morphed into a more hard rock-oriented venture. These days, nods to their metal roots seem somewhat half-hearted, as their live shows often rely on backing tracks for screams, due to vocalist/guitarist Danny Worsnop‘s finding that screaming as he gets older now “messes” his throat up.
While Worsnop has long entertained his own solo side project, more recently venturing into country, it would appear his bandmates may be stepping out with something of their own soon too. Liddell and Bettley jointly teased the project as follows on social media earlier this week:
