Alice In Chains made their return to the stage this past weekend in Thackerville, OK for their first show in nearly 10 months. The show was special due to its acoustic heavy nature as well as it marking what appears to be the live debut (with their current lineup at least) of their track 1992 track, “Right Turn“.
Current band vocalist William DuVall handled the sadly absent Chris Cornell‘s vocal parts for the performance, with some fan-filmed footage below. Another highlight of the show was the bands acoustic rendition of their track “Rooster“, which saw the band not only joined onstage by numerous fans, but also band guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell‘s father, Jerry Cantrell Sr..
Longtime “chaniacs” (yes that is apparently a thing) will know that “Rooster” was written for Cantrell Sr.‘s time spent in the Vietnam war. Footage of the “Rooster” performance is available below as well. If that’s not enough Alice In Chains radness for you, then you can hope that the rumors of them working on a new album pan out to be true.
