It’s been quite some time since there’s been signs of life in The Damned Things camp, and at the moment, it doesn’t appear that the supergroup have any plans to change that. However, some digital housekeeping was recently conducted, as the band’s track “Trophy Widow” showed up on digital service providers this past Friday, December 19th. A limited edition 7″ for that effort has also arrived via the band’s guitarist/vocalist Joe Trohman over at joetrohman.com. Interestingly, that pressing, which is limited to 250 copies, lists “File Missing” as the b-side.
That song previously saw a release in 2011 as part of an album created for the ‘Batman: Arkham City‘ video game. That record also featured contributions from Daughtry, Crosses and more. With Anthrax gearing up for their new album cycle in 2026 and Keith Buckley committed to Many Eyes, it would seem that this song’s arrival on streaming services probably doesn’t herald much in the way of activity to come for The Damned Things any time soon.
