A new trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming ‘Megadeth: Behind The Mask‘ documentary scheduled to air in theaters next month. That Casey Tebo (‘Steven Tyler: Out On A Limb‘, ‘Black Veil Brides: Alive And Burning‘) directed doc will chronicle the 40-year career of thrash metal legends Megadeth, while doubling as a listening experience for their upcoming self-titled final studio album.
The film will screen in theaters on January 22nd, with the the aforementioned album landing a day later. Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine announced earlier this year that the band’s next album cycle would be their last, with a global farewell tour set to follow. Once that run expected 3 to 5 year winds down, Mustaine intends to retire Megadeth from active duty. Per Mustaine himself, health concerns played a part in that decision.
