Korn‘s seventh studio album, “See You On The Other Side“, is just about to turn 20th, having originally been released back on December 06th of 2005. That anniversary is being celebrated with a new expanded reissue that has just arrived on vinyl and digital formats. Via the later format, fans can now officially stream the album b-side, “Last Legal Drug (Le Petit Mort)“, which has newly made its way to DSPs via this release.
“See You On The Other Side” marked the end of an era for the nü-metal pioneers in more ways than one. Not only did it serve as their first studio album without guitarist Brian “Head” Welch (who had left to tackle his drug addiction and pursue his Christian faith,) it also marked their final studio album with drummer David Silveria.
Beyond that, it also found the group making the jump to Virgin Records after a lengthy run on Epic/Immortal. Despite an uneven critical reception, “See You On The Other Side” still proved successful for the fractured band, first going gold in January of 2006, and being certified platinum a few months later in March of that year.
