A New Type O Negative Live Album Is Being Mixed

A new live album from the defunct platinum goth metal stars Type O Negative is in the works. According to the band’s ex-guitarist Kenny Hickey, a past live performance is presently being shored up for a future release. Speaking with Loaded Radio, Hickey offered, “We’re actually working on a live album right now. Yeah, we’re in the mixing process… So I’m excited about that. [We’re] working on the artwork now.”

Type O Negative were laid to rest back in 2010 in the wake of the passing of their vocalist/bassist, etc. Peter Steele. While rumblings of the band getting back together for a live celebration of their work have persisted since, the prospect still seems unlikely due to the continued lack of commitment from the band’s former keyboardist/vocalist Josh Silver. However, should those stars ever align, a suitable live fill-in for Steele has offered up their services.
